Antiproliferative effect and control of catecholamine release with octreotide in a patient with giant bilateral pheochromocytoma

Introduction: Pheochromocytomas are rare but treacherous catecholamine-producing tumors of the medulla of the adrenal glands (originating in the chromaffin cells), or extra-adrenal chromaffin tissue.
